Sukanta Mahavidyalaya

Sukanta Mahavidyalaya is a Government aided,NAAC accredited higher education institution which started its academic journey on 25 September 1981. Spanning over 10 acres of land, this college offers courses in Humanities and Science in 14disciplines at the undergraduate level. Moreover, it offers postgraduate courses in the distance education mode under the aegis of the Directorate of Distance Education, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Admission to the courses is strictly merit-based.

Sukanta Mahavidyalaya Dhupguri is affiliated to the University of North Bengal. The college provides accommodation to around 6000 students mostly hailing from surrounding areas. While the college follows the curriculum of the University of North Bengal, since 2018 the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) has been introduced in the undergraduate studies of this college.
