Gaya Engineering College, Gaya

Gaya College of Engineering (GCE), formerly known as Magadh Engineering College, is a distinguished public technical institute located in Gaya, Bihar. Established in 1958 and inaugurated in its current form in 2008 by then Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the college aims to provide quality technical education to aspiring engineers.

Affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), GCE offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering disciplines.

Academic Programs

Undergraduate Programs (B.Tech)

GCE offers four-year full-time B.Tech programs in the following disciplines:

• Civil Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Computer Science & Engineering

Each program has an intake capacity of 60 students, with an additional 10 seats for lateral entry.

Postgraduate Programs (M.Tech)

The college also offers two-year full-time M.Tech programs in:

• Cyber Security (CSE)

• VLSI Design (EEE)

Each specialization admits 18 students.

Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

Admission to the B.Tech programs is based on the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE), conducted in two stages: Screening and Main Examination. Candidates must pass the Intermediate (10+2) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.

M.Tech Admission

For M.Tech programs, candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Admission is based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores.

• Gymnasium: Well-equipped gym with professional equipment.

• Events: Annual tech fest 'GRAVITON', cultural events 'ADAVYA' and 'SUMEDHA', and social activities by 'Philanthropy GCEians'.

GCE has a strong placement record, with graduates securing positions in reputed companies such as Prism Cement, Tata Steel, Q Spider, Dalmia Bharat Cement, and Cloud Engineers.
