Nowgong College

Nowgong College, established on 7th August 1944, is one of the oldest co-educational institutions in Assam. Initially affiliated with the University of Calcutta, it became a part of Gauhati University in 1948. In December 2020, the college was granted autonomy by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for a period of 10 years.

Located in the heart of Nagaon town, the college offers a conducive environment for academic excellence. With a faculty strength of over 90 members, it provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines.
